Here's an arty idea for you to try if you're in need of some inspiration. I've been looking at the work of the wonderful Canadian Textile Artist, Heather Dubreuil. Have a look at her website and have a go yourself, or preferably, buy her artwork! To create my version, I found an image of the city with some interesting shapes then I cut a piece of white fabric ( a bit of a roller blind!) and glued it on top. I used Sharpies for the colouring in and then I stitched around the outline with embroidery silk. The possibilities are endless! Please have a go yourself and send me your pics!
