Melkam Fasika everyone, which is Amharic for Happy Easter, as I am sure you have guessed. We have used Lucas's original drawing of Ethiopian chickens as the design for our Easter card. I transferred his design to lino and printed a few test ones... Which do you prefer, pink or black?

This month has been particularly exciting in terms of publicity-
Big grins all round with the marvellous Mayor of Croydon again, Wayne Trakas-Lawlor, at a Private View for the "What It Is To Be Me" exhibition at the Elizabeth James Gallery. I had my photograph taken with him, alongside my fellow artists Ilona Kasprzyk and Miguel Sopena- The Mayor then used the photo for his FB profile pic!
Ilona and I also got a mention in the latest issue of the Croydon Citizen, courtesy of an article on The Elizabeth James Gallery and the creative arts in South Norwood, by Ian Marvin. Thanks so much for your support, Ian!
On now and next:
A selection of my charcoal drawings are on display at Studio Upstairs until the end of April.
I have submitted work for display at the next exhibition of work by the Croydon Art Society at the Clocktower Gallery from April 25th- May 13th.
May 20th I have another lino-cutting workshop at the Elizabeth James Gallery: places book up fast!
May 29th I have a stand at the Pop Up Africa Show at Spitalfields Market.
As always, thank you for reading! See you soon, Zoe and Lucas x
